I have worked to help various "reputable - Not scam" nonprofits raise money with various online strategies. Currently, I am trying to help nonprofits raise money in Ohio with junk car vehicle donations programs. It seems everyone is doing it or at least wants to do it. I want to be sure of pros and cons before getting to far into it.
Was curious if the tow truck used has to be liscensed for commercial use ie can I use a private truck not for commercial use? Do most junkyards offer towing services to pick up scrap? Pricing of scrap vehicles seems to be from $350-$500 per car is this what others find? Any input would be helpful including towing contractors and junkyards in ne ohio.

Don't know about Ohio, but in my state a tow truck hauling into a wrecking yard must have hulk plates, if privately owned and wrecker plates if owned by the wrecking yard.
If your hauling for anyone other than yourself, such as into a wrecking yard, or for the non-profit, then yes, you have to licence it commercially.
Most, if not all, wrecking yards in my area also have tow trucks to haul cars.
Hope this helps.
