Does anyone knows how to get a business license for a tow truck business in Illinois. I have a tow truck and I want to get a permit to operate it but I dont know where to go and what to do. Please help me. I need to operate my truck. Already have the drivers license and Insurance, I only need the license for the business.

In Illinois, you need a general business licence and towing licence plates for your trucks.
Your business licence is obtained at the county clerk of your jurisdiction, find yours here: http://www.elections.state.il.us/ElectionAuthorities/ElecAuthorityList.aspx
Then, You have to go to either the main DMV in Springfield (get plates immediately), or your local remitter's office (commercial license and title service) and apply for towing plates. (takes a couple weeks)
