Howdy there ya'll from Idaho. Back in 1977 when I started going towing there were few but still towing industry trade organizations that most if not all of us in the region belonged to. If you ran into a problem you could ask someone in the organization you belonged to an would get answers. Not shunned because hey you are after all a competitor. Today that brotherhood or unity of the towing community family is splintered if it exists at all. There is a movment here in our area to form a new regional group called the Rode Eaglez, Association. The goal is to try to do for us in towing what the OOIDA (www.ooida.com) has done for long haul trucking. Right now we are in talks with a local TV station to create the first TV series for us in towing. The list goes on but if any of the rest of ya'll have any other thoughts of why our towing community has become spoiled and splintered I'd like to know. For more 411 on the Rode Eaglez, email, rodeeaglez@yahoo.com

Hey Patrick, that sounds like a great idea! That's why we formed ITOW. The "powers the be" are counting on the fact that we tow operators can't even drink coffee together and we need to come together and remedy that, so bravo!
