As if we don't already know the answer.
We've needed a raise for a LONG time! But our concerns have been ignored. 
I towed for AAA for over 5 years of loyal service after which I was fired without cause when the only other local tow comapny in our small town was able to sway the local field rep to give the "coveted" account to him. Although the income is gone from AAA it sure is a relief from being on call and run ragged 24/7 for so many years! Now I just need to figure out how I will replace the income lost from AAA. AAA is sooooo cheap! They don't stand behind their contractors at all. I'm glad this happened!

I hear that from tow operators alot lately!
My employeer has towed for AAA for approx. 5+yrs. without a pay increase. Then they have the gaul to come to us with a new contract that all we would do is loose even more on every call.
AAA has way too much power in the Roadside service industry, wish we could get enough contractors to dump them but as usual they would find the (so-called scabs) to do their work of running your wheels off for nothing.
I quit taking calls from them after 5PM-6AM, not worth me to interupt my dinner, family time, sleep for such a cheap rate.
They put us on back-up status (2nd call) and the company they us have very shotty/dirty equipment and they never respond like we have in the past, now when I get a call I take my sweet time getting to them. And hope & pray a private or Law Enforcement call comes in before I arrive on scene, just so I can call them back and cancel on them.
AAA doesn't and hasn't ever given a good 
about their contractors. And they have the odasity to sponsor big time race cars and events and say they don't and aren't making money, they have screwed us all enough, to know better.

I see your point about the raises....It does SUCK!!!!!!! But i figure with the nice bonus I get it all works out. BUT....They need to always pay me correctly also. 
I have lost money by not watching what they pay. it is my own stupidity but it won't happen anymore.
I guess in a nut shell. I would rate them a "B" Company not AAA.

What ever anyone says AAA needs to find out it's 2004 not 1970 and raise the free to the times. 
since i am new to the business, i would like to give them a try 
but from all the experiance that you guys had with them, i will think twice before i do anything with them.
