Im starting up road service business and was wondering if someone could tell me were to go to get contact info on all the motor clubs is there one site that list them all with phone numbers???
need some help here.
I think if you do a search here you will find what your after, I remember a post that they were all listed out with names and #'s. Good luck with the MC's, You will need it!
I've been down that road, I started doing roadside service in November 2003. I discovered that very few people will pay for that kind of work, so you are looking at 98% motor club work.
Ask yourself these questions. Are you willing to work for $20 - $25 per call flat rate? Are you willing to get up several times each night to go run those same $20 - $25 calls?
What I found was that because of the sheer volume I was running, fuel costs were high and I burned out mentally and physically within 2 years because of the high work load. 2005 was my "best" year. I grossed about $51,000. AFTER deductions, my income was $2,300. Yes, the business ate up nearly every dime it produced.
I'm not saying roadside is a bad business to be in. However you need to be able to get close to $40 per call to make it work. At that rate you can afford to hire somebody to carry some of the load so that you do not burn out.
