Adam's roadside,

You might try all insurance companies as well. My boss in Florida does this. He has signed on with all of them from Asurian, Progressive, Allstate, Gieco etc.

Another one to hit up for business is dealerships. Try to find out what their contractors charge them, and tell them you like to provide them a service. Sometimes dealers like to have extra towing companies on hand in their files.

One other thing, auto part stores, and mechanic garages are also another good source. My boss owned the towing company along side with his collision center. The Collision centers are also a good way to get into the door.

I wish you luck!

Chad

I learned from many road managers who had to call on road service dispatchers to pay the bill, what they would do is they would fax them each week until paid. Usually after 30 days, my road managers would send a letter along with the copy of the bill saying if the road service didn't pay within 10 days they would send them to a collection agency and a lawyer etc.

I was a bit surprised they got their money pretty quick. I didn't care either way because I was paid regardless.

take care

chad

We have limited our MC calls, and guess what we are making money (GOOD MONEY), cause we are not loosing anymore private/law enforcement calls because we can't offer them a quick/recquired ETA :thud: , because we are doing a lower cost tow (for the MC's).
We were doing some tows for our local Insurance auction company and not doing those any longer because of the loss of the above mentioned "GOOD" money making tows :thumb: .
Yes, some of our private tows will wait for us, but there are others that need a truck NOW! :drivin:
The area we  serve has been very good to us, the BIG companies have come and gone in our area,  and we have hung it out and it has done us well.  Even the so called SCAB guys have tried coming in and cutting the rate, hang in there if you can,  your customers will come back to you if they are good customers.
After a greasey truck and/or driver show up or they damage their cars with crappy equipment or just plan dumb attitudes/techniques they usually call you when they want a tow the next time.
And now I have more time to keep our equipment cleaned up and right now doing some home improvements   :headbang: and those are even getting done a little sooner.

Good Luck
