Rollover I know the feeling. I'm just outside of Cleveland and there are a lot of workers and business owners fleeing to the South to find work. Just the opposite of the late 40's and 50's where people came to the Great Lakes for industrial jobs (as my family did).

The rest of this year and next will decide if I stay in business here, or if I shut down, sell the house and move somewhere else. I have a friend that's been in business for 20 years that's moving down to W Virginia, I may very well tag along. No jobs there either but at least the view is pretty.

depending how long they've been with the company, 1 guy who just started is $11/hr another guy is $14/hr another guy is $15/hr plus commission.
also included paid personal days, paid sick days, paid vacation 3 weeks, paid medical.

WOW!! :boo:  I must be paying way to much. i have 3 drivers 1st one make $16an hour been here 12years, 2nd makes 14 hour been here 4 years, 3rd (my son) work off hours nights weekends makes 40% of all calls.other drivers also get 40% of calls if they work a night or week end. bottom line is my company has experienced, repectful, drivers.
whats up charlie, i dont think your paying to much it sounds about right to me since they have been with you for some time.....anything less than that would be a slap in the face :brow:  as far as the new guys though id start em off at 10 bux and go from there

also note 2004 was when the previous responses have been made wadges may have increased slightly
