I know this is geared towards drivers killed in the line of duty. But I heard this story earlier today and felt I needed to post. Here's the link. http://www.wnwo.com/Global/story.asp?S=4828825 or http://www.wtol.com/Global/story.asp?S=4828477
an update to my earlier post~ The passenger James Greiger was kill on impact. The driver, owner of Ankenbrandt's Towing and Garage, Bob Ankenbrandt, died this evening. Both were 68. R.I.P.
You know your a true tow truck driver when you bring up the page just to see a picture. No picture.
Sad story.
In response to your comment about the pic Bill, there is a video on the first link. It shows some pics but not very good ones. One of the other local news stations had a better video but did not post it. It was rather sobering. The truck was a '01 med. duty Ford. The impact seperated the cab from the chassis, landed in a field. The wrecker body and frame were pushed about 100' and into a ditch. Sadly no one will ever know what really happened. and like you said truley a sad story

Wow! That sounds horrific.
Thanks.
Bad story hard to hear stories like this!.......................10-33 driver down r.i.p.
