Verizon Wireless has just introduced their second bluetooth capable phone, the Motorola E815. Of course capable is a bit of a misnomer since, just like the first bluetooth phone, Verizon has disabled many features of the bluetooth.

These disabled features would normally allow you you to transfer wallpapers, ringtones, files, etc. from any other bluetooth device, usually a laptop. They have also disabled the Dial Up Networking feature of bluetooth which lets you use the phone as a wireless modem for your laptop.

Of course, for a fee, Verizon will sell you these services separately. Or, you could get a bluetooth enabled cellphone from ANY other cellular provider in the country because nobody else is stupid enough to disable the primary features of their phones.

BTW: If you have a new car with a built-in bluetooth hands free system for a cell-phone... don't try to use it with a Verizon phone... that feature is disabled.

Way to go Verizon!  :alien:  :alien:

Cool. I'll check that out.  :thumb:  Thanks.
bill,i forgot to tell you, when you use the gps you can preview your route ,which is good when we get charge backs from AAA.you can just re-enter your starting and ending and  confirm the route.
Wow, that's handy. The blackberry seemed a little large last time I looked at it, but that was a long time ago. Perhaps a smaller model is available now. I'll check it out. Thanks!  :D
