Over thiret years of towing and this is a new one for me. About 8 weeks ago there was a 5 car stack-up a block from my shop. One of the cars was a customer who requested me. She was second from the back and the first one hit and pushed into another car. Well her and her 4yr old doughter were not hurt bad, Mom had a dislocated sholder. She was rearended by a S15 pickup. I heard from the truck driver on the other end of things that when he went back the guy was still pushing on the gas and maybe having a sezure.
Well to date I have seen an adjuster and that is it. I still have a car and the girl has nothing. No doubt the car is junk (93 Dodge Stratus) .
The ins co for the pick-up says they are wateing for the medical records fo the driver. They are drying to deny the claim for medical reason. I am sure they took his $$. She has no collision so she is out a car so far.
I am in Pa. in case anyone has any ideas.

IMO what they are doing is wrong in many ways! Even if he had/has a medical condition, it should not make a differance. His insurance Co insured him and his vehicle and any liability that he caused. They need to settle up with the lady and total the car and pay your bill! I would make sure you charge them storage from day one! This lady need to get on the phone and rattle some cages. Have her tell the insurance co she is going to get legal representation if they do not start to deal with the claim!
They know that they have lawyers and she will have to pay for one. She has called them several times with no reply and they never call back.
She has called the insurance comishner but they are still looking into it.
My clock is still ticking. They have never told me they are out of it.
