what tow a limo with a flatbed noway, when i first started towing in vegas,my third call was a limo for the binions casino!dispatch called me to come and pick an international for tow, alimo had broken down at the airport, first i thought they lost thier marbles.but they told me what to do,and what not to do,back up with the stinger down on the flatbed hook up the car, make sure the limo is in nuetral with all windows up.close the door driver side and lift up the limo and tow it to the dealer,it was pretty cool until you make the turn into the lot,18ft. bed with a limo on the stinger, can you say wide turn there was a guy who came out and went to open the door before i dropped it,i told him if open that door i'll break your arm.they told me what would happen if you do before you lower it.it causes pressure and the limo will blow out the windows and split in half.this was a fast learning tow job for me... What about the extra long stretched limos, I'd be afraind to put on a stinger or wheel lift? Why not wheel lift it, How does it ride.

You can only tow them with the big flatbeds, the ford f350 only brings the truck up on its rear wheels, like a wheely.the super stretch is mostly done with a low boy,for some reason limo drivers out of california won't let you touch thier cars. i have towed alot of limo on wheel lifts including super stretch's.. turn off the air ride most important.. as long as you don't bounce the car you will be fine . just the turning radius is a real bi**h. it best done with med duty truck due to the weight will sway the light duty on the freeways. we mostly tow them on our low boy .. safer for the car and more money for us .. just makes sense if you have the equipment use it the new craze of hummer limos are for low boy only tows ... have to remember if you damage it you pay to tow it or worse you own it. no one wants a broken limousine ouch, hummer's that would have to suck to tow one of those oversize jeeps,i've only towed limos for casino's in sin city. It's been said before, what's the difference between a limo sitting on it's tires, and a limo with one set of tires on a wheel lift 2 feet in the air? Not a thing, it's still riding on the tires and its own suspension.
If a wheel lift would break a limo in half, so would driving it down the road. The same forces are in play either way. Of course, limos are more susceptible to suspension damage, simply because they are overloaded, since the components are designed for the original vehicle weight.
Now if someone wants to pay the money to have their limo hauled on a lowboy, by all means. As long as they have the money. Most cars that don't recommend being towed behind it's because you either tear out the pan or trans, however we have towed alot of these and with no problems, as what has been said about towing or driving I have to agree, the same amount of weight is distributed either way, like these high priced SUV's wheel-lift & dolly them, what's the difference than on a carrier?????? Engineers Can do on a deck too if you have enough dunnage to pull back tires on up and clear the back end, never try and load up backwards it won't fit!!!!!!We have never had problems with limos a few times they were a little to big and then we farm them out to another company. most times we use our 21 foot bed with a stationary pilon and dont bring the bed back on a jeerdan you have around 2 feet you can roll the bed back and it will still lock in and that gives us the room most of the time or on the wheel lift we just make sure to strap it down and not to raise it to high and get the hell out of the way of big dips Next Page...
