a 4x4, 2" shorter than the width of the bed, when you get a vehicle that has a flat or the wheels are turned, place the 4x4 across the bed in front of the wheels, touching them, and the veh will pull straight up the ramp everytime, and a bottle filled with a solution of water and cheapo liquid detergent will help a veh w/locked wheels slide down the bed easy.
Very Nice!
I carry a soapy solution but that 4x4 trick rocks!
finally some one who has used soap mixture, the 4 x4 trick,i used these all the time in vegas, when working up there..

The only thing i have to get used to is the debris from the clean up,you can't put it in the vehicle, you have to put it in the bucket beside the car after dropping it in the yard.plus another thing you get tokes from body shop,casinos,etc...these range from 50-100.00 dollars, free meals from casinos.steve wynn from the mirage toked me a steak dinner plus $50.00 one time.and that rocks.

The best soap to use is dawn dish soap,i always kept 3 or 5 bottles in the truck, but i didn't learn this until went to work in vegas.the same thing with the 4x4,i used to manhandle the car when loading it on the bed.
I carry an old windex bottle filled with about 1/8 dishwashing soap & the rest water, it works great for spraying the deck down for skates, lubing the weatherstiping/ air wedge for lockouts & is really handy for spraying on your hands if your unfortunate enough to happen to handle something greasy with your gloves off while out in the feild.
when i first heard did you put soap on your truck i thought
are you crazy, until they told me what its for, came in handy for alot of ppi's,the old school way was hook a j-hook and then pull the car off the bed, ended up fixing the fence alot of times.

ever see those duraliner truck bed liners laying on the interstate? I take the sawsall to them cutting into 12 to 14 in. squares. slip them under noised in front wheel drive cars. and you can push them anywhere you need them. under all four you can go sideways,
stick them between the bed and the tires as you lay the bed back and they will allow the car to go straight up the bed without any mess or jack being used. after you unload just push the tread back an inch and they pull out with little effort. try it for your self. I hated sliding on my bed after soaping down so i looked for an alternitive. so far I think this is affective and i see them laying everyware.
Cool! great idea.
Wow thats a great tip the next one i see on the side of the road is mine for sure now thanks. the soap
works well also
