Method #1
Lift and secure the vehicle to the wheelift as you would on a vehicle with good tires. Position your dollies under the vehicle as you normally would, exept leave the REAR cross-bar out. Be sure to leave just enough side to side clearence on the wheel assemblys to put the cross bar Back in the slots. Be sure to place the front crossbar in the rear most slots.
Once the dollies are set up as described above...PULL the rear(flat) tire(s) up onto the front crossbar using the wheelift.
Then install the rear crossbar in the forward most slots. Roll the vehicle back between the bars by extending your wheelift.
Pop them up and that usually gets it up high enough to roll with it. This Trick works well in gravel.
Method #2
This trick is used with either a wheelift or sling. Lift and secure the vehicle as you normally would. Be sure to strap the front wheels if using a W/L. Assemble your dollies directly behind the vehicle without popping them up. Next, Raise the front of the vehicle as high as possible without damage. Now
place a jack-stand as far to the rear of the vehicle as clearence allows on both sides. Be sure to place the stands under an area of the vehicle that will support the weight without crushing. This will create a pivot point when down pressure is applied. Lower your W/L or sling and the rear of the vehicle will raise up off the ground. If the jackstands start to tilt forward or backward, Extend or retract your W/L or Sling to counter act this. Once the front wheels are on the ground...Roll your assembled dollies under the rear tires and pop them up.
This method also applies to vehicles with no tires or wheels.
This method doesnt really count as a trick. Back when there was only pan dollies, No pop-ups, this was simply "THE WAY".
I hope this helps someone out there....Thanx....Matt
