Hey, I really don't know anything about towing, so I came here to ask for some advice.
This past Saturday night my car was towed, somewhere between 2 am in the morning and 10 am Sunday morning, so there's a pretty small window in which this could have happened. I got to the towing place, and my car is sitting in the lot with the front right tire flat. Now I know the chances are ridiculously small of this flat tire being caused by anything other than something the tow truck driver did, especially considering the flat was caused by a realatively big puncture hole on the inside of the rim. Of course, the guy working there I talked to denied everything, basically just shrugged it off, told me there was nothing he can do about it. Am I just screwed in this situation? Is there any way you can think of that a tow truck can cause a puncture hole in the inside of the rim?
Hi Mr Jenkies, welcome to ITOW Talk.
Normally, flattening a tire while towing would be nearly impossible. However, there is one towing unit, a self loading wheel-lift, that can easily pop a tire.
This unit loads by hydrolicly swinging arms behind the tires. If the truck is not completely under the car, the arms could by swung into the tire, where a puncture could occur.

So it is possible. I would imagine that a puncture caused by this sort of equipment would be very large, and easily distinguishable.
Good luck.
