Yes your right were are 90miles from the mesican border and 86miles from the steer border(texas) gosh dang didn't realize i'm in the dang desert of nuclear sand where they blew up the first h-bomb back in the fifty's haven't seen any nuclear bugs yet except for the b-52 mesquitos that fly around here. 
really its not that bad here were are in between mountain ranges makes for some pretty sunrises and sunsets only thing missing is the tequila salt and lime. 
It sounds like a nice place to retire at. 
Yes it is nice place to retire!and also the abandoned salvage yard is for sale for a cool 1,000,000.00 yes thats a million dollars.
