Out of all my years of towing,the only thing that sucks for me is these lock outs,with the way cars keep changing they get harder every year,every one has a different technique for them.but i guess i'll need to learn some day. 
Yea, lockouts can be a pain. We carry the AAA lockout manuals that give us a lockout method for any vehicle. Even if we don't use their method, we can at least see a picture of the inside of the door so we can see what we need to do.
Honestly, an air wedge and "super jimmy" will unlock most vehicles with much less risk of damage.
plus theres always a brick.
