I recently went shopping online for a new digital camera. I found a great price on the camera I wanted at several sites.
Normally I check out a company by looking for prominent contact information and a business address on their Website and sometimes giving them a call just to see how customer oriented they are.
Well... I got caught by a really low price, and the site said "in stock" so I ordered (with incredibly high pressure from the salesman to buy high prices accessories) from infinitycamera.com without checking them out. After 3 days and no ship confirmation email or deduction to my account, I called and low and behold it's not in stock and they have no idea when they will have it. (canceled that order)
Apparently, I'm not alone in disliking this company, go To Epinions to read the crappy reviews for this company.
On to the second lowest price. Same thing happened. site said "in stock" when I ordered, two days later I had to cancel because it wasn't in stock.
An interesting thing happened after that. The first company (infinity camera) lowered their price so I called to check stock again. The guy on the phone said "would you like to hear about our specials?", I said no thanks. He replied "well.. we have memory cards for $1 today but since you don't want to hear about them." Is that the guy you want answering the phone at your business? I will never buy from them. (even if they did have it)
So now I'm on company three. We'll see if they come through.
The moral of this story is do not shop a Website that does not readily display contact information and their physical address. Give them a call and see how professional they sound on the phone, do they try to pressure you into another sale? Try searching the Internet for their name and maybe you'll come across a forum like this one that will save you a headache.
Company 3 has bit the dust!
Cameratopia.com outright lied about having the camera in stock.
I ordered it on the phone Friday after the salesman verified it was in stock, now on Monday, it's back-ordered two weeks.
Another store to avoid!

Always try a company called abt electronics they are one of the largest electronic stores in the world and they have 3 sets of pricing price a,b,c, a is the cheapeat and their phone sales are no match for anyone. They have done the installs on all my tvs in my trucks and gps units alamrs and audio. If you see a price and they seem high go ahead and say you found it somewhere else cheaper and thye will match it i could go on for hours about this company. Their service is remarkable.they sell top of the line merchandise. This is no best buy where you buy junk they sell the best at prices you can afford. Here is a great camera to get i bought 2 for my trucks and they work wonders. This is one of the cheapest cameras you can get with night vision on it it will make a nigt time picture look like it was taken in the day time it is a sony
