I'm not really big on bashing companies but these people really took the cake.
I ordered a set of Hawk heavy duty brake pads for my International truck 11 days ago. Obviously I was concerned and emailed for a tracking number. I got the following reply:
"Jason,
I believe we are having issues with the actual part number you ordered. Can you tell me the exact application these brake pads are for so I can verify the part number is correct.
Larry D
BuyBrakes.com"
Keep in mind this is 11 days after I placed the order and my credit card was charged! And the part was plainly listed on their site, it's a brake pad used on numerous MD trucks with hydraulic brakes.
I gave them the vehicle information and asked that they either ship or have drop shipped next day air (after all they had dropped the ball). I got the following reply:
"In that case we will just have to refund your money because next day air costs more then the pads themselves. I'll cancel the order and have you refunded.

The brake pads were about $95 for the set plus shipping..... And I ordered them along with reman calipers because the truck NEEDS them.
