We had been towing for Asurion on a regular basis without any sort of contract or agreement. They would tell us how much coverage the member had and it almost always covered our fee.

Then, one day they called and we responded to find the member GOA (Gone). We billed Asurion a very reasonable $25 to cover our time and fuel.

Asurion sent us $20. We contacted Asurion about the partial payment and they said "$20 is what we pay for a GOA".

Keep in mind that we have NO rate agreement with Asurion and we quoted them $75 for our services when they called.

Needless to say, they would not pay, so we turned them over to our collection agency and we no longer do business with them.

This was not the first incident with them, but it was the last.

That & they had about 6 or 7 bills they did not pay.  We also turned them into are collection agency. :D  Same with coach net and ccmc.

No more motor clubs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumb:

Sorry to hear about your problems.

Our company here north of the border just started dealing with them within the last six months and I haven't heard of any problems from the office staff yet.

I will keep you posted however.

I'm glad your experience has been positive, I hope it continues.

I'm fortunate that I'm in somewhat remote area which allows me to refuse their calls and actually have some effect.

They have, on occasion, pleaded with us to accept calls.

Perhaps I'm too stubborn for my own good.  :poke:

One other thing Bill.

Ashurion pays more than most of the roadside assistance programs.

Bizzare huh? :suspect:

All motorclubs pay our regular rates.  :thumb:

We were pleased with Asurion until they failed to pay us for service they requested. They otherwise paid our regular rates and we never had to collect anything from a car owner which kept things simple.

Our volume from them was very very low, and in the somewhat vast area we serviced for them, we cannot afford to run GOA's for $20.

They must have us confused with a contracted vendor that has agreed to some low-ball rate. We had no such agreement, in fact, they would ask our rate on every call they gave us.

This is because there aren't many clients in the Canadian part of the company. There are Rogers & Telus. There used to be Bell, but they pulled out. So, there is not a lot to deal with, so they pay you on time. Seperate office all together.

Also, Bill. If your campany was in their system, at some point, you did discuss rates with a vendor rep.

I don't know if I'm "in their system", but I do know I have never spoken with them about rates except to give them price quotes over the phone prior to performing a service for them.

I suspect they chose to call my Yelm company because of a lack of towing companies in that area.

This is why we don't do ASURION any longer, too big of a hassle. :rasp:  :cryin:
And not worth time involved.

Has anyone ever noticed that asurion has some of the most worst customers to deal with they never have any money and they are always in the worst areas. i make asurion pay over the phone with a credit card always so i make sure they no longer rip me off with thoses p.o #s . thanks asurion for always giving out a good credit card number lol  :sofunny:
