After spending with a tower for a good couple of hours on a long, rural tow yesterday, and doing some follow-up research, I now see how crappy AAA treats you folks. I don't want to support that. But, I also travel a lot in rural areas (Western US), and I can't rely on knowing a good tow company everywhere I go. I need a motorclub to handle that for me.

Is there any motorclub that doesn't suck?

I don't care about the cost too much, though when I do need a tow, there's a good chance it'll be in the 50 to 100 mile range, so estimates of cost would be helpful for budgeting; I'm not poor, but, like most people these days, I'm not always sure where and when the money's coming in. But, mostly, I feel like a shmoe for putting you guys through that stuff for pennies, and I want to do better.

Help?

SURE, YOU SHOULD JOIN STATE FARM'S EMERGENCY ROADSIDE SERVICE. THEY ARE THE BEST. THE ONLY CATCH IS THAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE STATE FARM AUTO INS. UNLIKE THE ALLSTATE MOTOR CLUB WHO WILL TAKE ANYBODY. HOWEVER ALLSTATE MOTOR CLUB CAN'T GIVE YOU GREAT SERVICE DUE TO A RECENT POLICY CHANGE THAT TOOK BIDS FROM TOWING COMPANIES FOR OUTLINED AREAS. THE COMPANY WITH THE LOWEST BID WAS GIVEN THE CONTRACT.:(      P.S. A GOOD PRICE FOR A 75MILE TOW FOR A LIGHT DUTY CAR SHOULD BE ABOUT $275-$300 DURING NORMAL WEATHER CONDITIONS.
