I have been trying to get AAA road side assistance for years, but every time i send in the check they send it back to me with no explenation as to why.but yet every other month they send me that piece of sticker for my car,and a thirty day free coverage for every car i own,as far as I'm concerned they can shove thier AAA up thier , they really piss me off,so I signed up with Allstate road service. :headbang:  :headbang:  :veryangry:  :veryangry:
:veryangry:  :boo:     i under stand what u are going threw because aaa sucks were ever you go i don,t think they really care how u feel or care if you need help i  think they are heartless company who is out for there self

Maybe it's becaues AAA doesn't pay us poor tow companies. $20 before 7pm and $25 after for a tow to garage, jump start or change a flat. Can you work for that if you are a driver getting 25% of the sheet and spending time for a lousy $6.25 for maybe up to a hour. :veryangry:  :veryangry:

 in vegas aaa pays thier drivers 13.00-15.00 dollars an hour no commision,10 hour days, but very hard to get on with them,i tried many times. :headbang:
Last week an AAA member broke down in his 1999 Chevy S-10 pick-up and called AAA to bring him to a "recommeded" repair facility.  He got dropped off at the local AAA recommeded shop (because they pay thier $450+ annual fee) and after wasting time there he had to call and have it towed again because they brought his Chevy to a VW dealer that does not work on Chevy's.  This does not seem to be a "Service" I want to belong to.

You people thing that you are gonna get better service bypurtching road side assistance from your cell phone company or insurance company? What you dont realize is that AAA is gonna dispatch the call any way so you are going through AAA and not knowing it. AAA even does the road side assistance for new cars. Also you people pay like $100 for plus member ship which comes with four 100 mile tows.  Just one 100 mile tow is more than $200 if u were to go directly to the garage yourself.  So stop your complaining. The problem is that they dont pay there gar enough cuz your memberships fees are so low. So they cant contract with every towing garage in the areas that they are in. Also the garages take there time or are over worked because they arnt getting paid alot. You get what you pay for. If you want to pay the same amount for ur mem as one tow then you can get fast prompt service if you want 4 calls for the price of one tow then you get slow service.
I'm not sure where you are getting that information from. There are tons of other Motor Clubs out there besides AAA. GE, Road America and Asurion do the cell phone stuff, USAC does Ford, Mercury, Lincoln and Jaguar, CCAS does most of the other auto manufacturers as well as a lot of insurance companies. Allstate and American Traveler have their own Motor Clubs.

I'm sure AAA has a little outside work but I doubt it is more than a few percent.

I've found that many people will refer to any roadside assistance plan as "AAA" as a generic term.

I'm contracted with several Motor Clubs and my hookup rates are all $45 or higher, much higher than AAA normally pays their contractors.
