We all know the rates suck! But how bad do they suck?
Wow I cannot believe that people still tow for these low rates.
I would think that if a business owner worked out his costs per mile. They would find that working for rates this low, no matter how many tows they do, they will lose money on each and every tow.
I get 35.00 hookup 2.00 a mile after 5 miles wheellift,25.00 more for dollies.50.00 for flatbed same milage.bikes are 75.00.My rates are low for nebraska.I here the coasts are double this??I can not start a truck for any less if I could I would 
I don't see AAA rates that bad here. 35.00 hook up 1.25 out up to 5 miles 1.75 per mile over. 3.00 per mile on hook. 30.00 for jump or lockout with the same money going out as a tow.. It did hurt when AAA lost GM roadside. Cost me 4500.00 a month. We have only been with AAA since 1938.
Clearly the West Coast is getting much less per tow than other areas of the country. If our members were getting $35 per tow instead of $21, I wouldn't have to Field so many complaints about AAA.
We have a towing company here that does aaa,and they do okay but there responce time sucks,45-1hr.wait,and thats that alamogordo isn't that big like other cities.but we do have major arterial highways that pass through here. 
Wow i must have passed this one up se our rate is $28 per call with no goa and no cancel pay no flatbed fee and the first 5 miles are free and the first 10 miles to are free . 
We get 2.00 per mile onm plus calls and 3.50 for a basic member

On the plus side, your making much more than the $21-$22 that most Washington State vendors are making.
