I've been a aaa tower for many years. I've been trying to get a much needed rate for a long time with no luck. If that's not bad enough, I just found out that aaa added a back-up to my area and is paying them MORE money than me!!!
AAA doesn't give a crap obout it's vendors!! The standard reply is someone else will be eager to take over your zone. Thais is crap!!
I agree. they wont even return my phone calls bcause they know that I want more money. whenever someone gets smart and dumps their lowball program they just signup another company that doesnt know theyre a rip off.
I make it a point to tell evryone I know how bad AAA sucks!
IF YOU GUYS THINK IT SUKS AS A CONTRACTOR TRY WORKING FOR THEM AS A COMPANY FLEET DRIVER AND ASKING FOR A RAISE IN PAY THAT THEY PAY YOU 4.50 AN HOUR ON A COMMISSION BASIS AND IF YOU DONT GET NO CALLS YOU GET 400.00 A WEEK BEFORE TAXES AND INSURANCE AND YOU DONT GET ENROUTE MILES AND IF YOU GET A FLAT YOU BUSTIN A NUT FOR 4.10 AND A TOW IS 6.30 AND MOST OF THEM ARE GOING WITHIN 2MILES AND YOU GET 50 CENTS A MILE AFTER 3 
THEN MANAGMENT SUKS ASS AND WE ALL ARE BASICLY WORKIN FOR FREE AND THEY MAKE THE PROFT
You make that much? Last company I worked for before getting my own truck, we worked for strictly commission, no hourly wage. And when you do AAA calls for $20 before 7pm and $25 after, then maybe not have a call for 5 hours, tell me? I worked 12 hrs a day 6 days a week busting my nut and for $300 before taxes. We only got 25% of the sheet. So I get $5 for a AAA tow and there all local. I drove rollback and got all the 4 wheel drives, they wouldn't tow them, and I got more than some. Then did a AAA tow that wnet 202 miles, wow I got $52 my cut for milage and $5 for hookup my cut, took 6 hours all together, pichup and drop off, loaded and empty, and only had one tow before that for $20, my cut $5. So for 12 hours on made $5.50 for that day. Big deal.
