Law enforcement calls the AAA tower for someone when they've been in an accident. Does that obligate them to call Cross country for an accident if that's who the person has? Or even NAC or MTS or Road America etc etc? It seems that LE everywhere acts as the AAA dispatcher. The really bad part being is that a lot of those calls don't end up having anything to do with AAA as the insurance company picks up the bill. If LE isn't dispatching for each and every motorclub, aren't they showing favoritism towards AAA and against non-AAA towers, especially in light of the fact that AAA and the AAA tower know that AAA probably isn't going to have to pay for the call. And in part isn't the rotation list established to clear the roads quickly and efficiently? If the person wanted to call AAA themselves then I don't see a problem but it doesn't seem right that LE calls for them.
I gave a two hour eta for a AAA wreck and LE accepted it when I'm sure that other towers could have got to it much much sooner. Granted that was a rare incident but I'm sure there's cases where the road could be cleared by a non-AAA tower quicker than the AAA guy.
