i just got my paper work for traa and they have certification classes also!so whats the difference between the two organizations?isn't it the same thing as wreckmasters or totally different from them?from what i see you get trained in 3 levels 1,2,and 3 now i see wreckmasters has levels also 2/3 3/4 and so on! which one would be more worth while?
let me see if i can help. here in CA we have C.T.T.A California Tow Truck Association. they help us to understand some laws and responsibility's of the driver and a ton of safety stuff like chain ratings and equipment basics.. some hands on roll over techniques.. wreck master teaches allot of the same but will help you understand how's and why's of what your doing and how to do it correctly .. so my answer is both would be great if you have the time and money.. if i had to pick it would be wreck master due to the fact they are going to help you understand what your going to do when that situation arises.. i have been doing this for about 11 years past 9 mostly accident and fatal recovery's and it helps. to get as much training as possible.. a confident driver with good training brings your truck back in one piece every time... breakage is loss... money and time. just hope the cable gives first its the cheapest to fix
thanks supertow you answered my question! i'll most likely go with wreckmasters maybe some other companies here might be interested in extra training!well gotta log off now uncle towtom is watching!!!!!
WELL HE HELPED ME OUT ALSO CAUSE YOU MENTIONED CTAA IN ANOTHER TOPIC AND HAD ME WONDERING WHAT IT WAS ALSO.
I've got to say, the TRAA cert. without any practical, hands-on experience to go with it is frankly useless.
IMHO Wreckmaster is vastly Superior.
Wreckmasters it is then, because i like the training i you get from them!so later on gonna try to get them to come here to hold some classes for new mexico towers..
