Hi,

I've developed a NEW impound lot and towing managment software.  It has a trial period so feel free to try it out and let me know what you think.  It automatically calculates towing fee's, storage, and much much more...you'll have to try it to see if you like it.  www.towtag.com is the website and www.towtag.com/setup.zip is the download file.  PLEASE post back here what you think.  I'd also like to hear what you'd like to see it do or what it's missing as well as the good things of it.

no comments?
I checked it out! :thumb:  :thumb:  :thumb:  :thumb:  :thumb:  :thumb:  :thumb: beats having to calculate when the software does it for you! :happydance:
Thanks bob,

Is there anything that it needs to do that it doesn't right now?  All input is welcome

Looks good enough for if i had a tow company i'd use your software in a heartbeat! :drivin:  :drivin:  :thumb:  :thumb:
the software looks good and easy to use,but i have a couple of questions.first when you release the vehicle ,does it calculate the total cost for you?if you start to put in the same type of vehicle will the software bring it up for you? is there a way for the program to atamatically enter todays date and time? is there a way to put in the driver also?

Jim,

Actually yes it does calcuate the total for you. It keeps a running total. What it does is takes the storage fee, multiplies it by the number of days it has been in storage, and then adds the tow fee to it. (and you can elect to add tax on top of that.)  So if today the total is 400.00, then when you look at the vehicle tommorrow it will already have added the storage fee for the day to it, so it would be 420.00 in our case.Unfortunatly there is no auto complete that finishes the vehicle info for you but that's only because i didn't think of that,  but i think i'll add it next.  The program will automatically enter the date if you click on the words "date towed" beside the text box. No I didn't put a place for the driver, just the owner,  is that something that comes up alot?  If so it wouldn't hurt to add it.  There was a bug in the initial release that has since been worked out and the program was reposted tonight.

Yes, there should be spots for a truck number and drivers' number or name. You want to be able to go back and see what type of truck and what driver towed the car, in the event of a problem, or just for billing.

Done

I also worked a few bugs that were in it out.  Works like a champ now.  I took the backup out because it's quicker to just copy the file and alot more stable.  Other than that it's working better than ever.  I'll upload the one with the driver and truck with autocomplete tonight.

I have used this software it is pretty good. The more
i use it the easer it gets, here in nj it needs a little
tweeking.I have been in touch with the owner and
