My son gave me a cd am/fm for my 78 ford F350 Wrecker, I would like to install all four speakers, I have the two in the door and would like to find two that mount in the upper corners of the cab, but if seens I can't find any of that style. I used to see them years ago that came fro Pep Boys or JC Whitney but I can't find any. Anyone know who might still carry these.
Or the upper windshield speaker, radio, shelf unit.
If you search Google for "truck visor shelf" you find lots of the visor shelf thingys.
I had a 2-ton GM truck with the high-mount rear corner speakers in my wrecking yard, I'll check Monday and see if they are still there.
Thanks Bill I'd appreciate it. I was thinking of the windshiled shelf but then after reading comments from other people it is harder to see if your big as me, I'm 6'1" and as fat as I am I sit high in any vehicle. If you can find the corner speakers I'll buy them from you if not maybe it's off the some junk yards.
I called a few yards and one guy says oh ya, ya mean like what you find in a old ford pickup? I say ya that's the one, he says no don't have any. Still looking.
I just talked to my yard manager... We no longer have em'
I just learned that Ford Ranger pickups 89-99 both standard and super cabs came with rear cab mounted speakers.
They're not standard size (6x8 or 5x7) but the speakers are available.
Have you tried Crutchfield? or JC Whitney?
Yes I tried both of them and the cab speakers for the ranger was on the bottom of the cab, I has a 88 Ranger supercab, I don't have space there since I have the gas tank behind the seat. But thanks for trying.
Well I couldn't find the speakers I wanted and after almost ordering a visor shelf I decided to order speakers from www.VintageVibes.com
they have two speakers that fit in the save area and space that your orginal front speaker mounts. They also sell speaker kick panels for all vehicles. And the speakers I'm getting are only $29.00 cheaper and easlier than all the wiring I would have had to do.

Cool!
