ok...I now have the truck back from the body shop and it looks great. Only one problem, the grill I got for it from aw direct does not fit. :mad2: I called them back and they said that people have been calling back and have the same problem. Ford changed the grill a little. They don't have any for 2003. So I am sending it back. Now... does anyone know of anywhere I can get one or know when they will becoming out?:confused2:
I got it to work:spinface:. The guy we got the truck from was suppose to put it in because he was going to put a push bumper on and with that on it would be very hard to work with. He said it did not fit and that they must have changed the grill a little. I got it home and started to look at it and thought I would give it a try. I had it on in 15 min.
How was the grill different?

Do you have the 6.0L Powerstroke? If so, how do you like it compared to the 7.3L? Thanks.

It's not different. The guy we got the truck from said that it would not fit. He said they must have changed the grill in the 2003. So after that we called aw direct to tell them it would not fit. They said that it might have changed and just to send it back. When we got the truck, I took the new grill and tried myself and got it on with no problem. I think the guy just did'nt want to put it on.
As for your 2nd ?, I think the 6.0 is better than the 7.3. Much more power!!! I just hope it does not have any problems because it's the first year for that motor.

I don't have any 6.0L yet, but everyone I've talked to about them has had nothing but good to say :a-okhand:

My next truck will likely have the 6.0L powerstroke.

I'm also very curious about chevy 300hp isuzu/allison combo. I frequent the RV and trailer towing forums and the people there recommend carying a crow bar to pry the smile from your face.

I do like the allison transmission, I have had lots of problems with ford transmissions, How bout you?

The last ford we had was a 94 f-450. It was a standard trans and the only thing we replaced on that truck was a clutch. The new truck is an automatic. It's are first automatic. Started towing with it friday after we got are name on it, towed a chevy pickup, and you could not tell you are towing something. Going up hills, no problem:o . It has a lot of power. I think you should test drive one. You will like it!!!
