I am seriously considering going to a Wreckmaster Class. From what I've heard from others that have gone, it is well worth the price. But I've bought a couple of their videos, and honestly I feel a little ripped off. The car carrier video was almost identicle to the one that came with my truck from the factory. And the light duty video that I have gave me no new information. And information is really what I want, not a sales pitch for their equipment, or "Hey, after class, buy this book that has the information you really need."
So, for those of you that have attended the class, what was the percentage of info vs. sales.
And since I am only doing light duty, keep that in mind. Med & Heavy is still at least 7 years off for me. Basics first.

Thanks in advance.

I found that the class is about 95% information. You will be using some cool state-of-the-art equipment that is available for purchase, but the emphasis is on learning towing and accident recovery techniques.  :D
I took their little online test thingy like 2 months ago and passed it and im still waiting for an email from them :brow:
Here, take my test...

Thanks Bill. I did get all of the answers right on the test on the first try. But then I do have a minor in mechanical engineering from college days of yore.
I just took that test and got them all right and I not wreckmaster trained!
IMHO the Wreckmaster online test & the videos are for the newbie to the industry, the 2/3 class is for the driver who is starting out & it's geared towards proffessionalism, safety, being prepared at the recovery scene, keeping your rigging safe & damage free recovery techniques.
The 4/5 gets more into difficult recovery techniques for light & medium duty, lots of useful information, it will pay for itself in lack of damage claims & your own personal safety by knowing multiple recovery techniques for the same recovery & always working within your riggings safe working load limits.
I have been in the tow business since 1995 & have been to the 2/3 & the 4/5 & have never regretted it, I have never paid any damage claims either, money well spent.
