I read the banner at the top of the ITOW page about Safeclear, I'm all for it, nothing wrong with protecting the public and giving them safe tow operators but in return when are they going to start protecting our drivers from the people who keep running over them. one other thing, just recently a driver was murdered by his customer. now I am all for safety , but it must be for everyone. We do not get the same respect as police officers or firemen or emt's, we cannot carry protection such as firearms in most states to protect ourselves. Something needs to be done to protect us as well as the customer.
I totally agree,what about our safety there was a driver killed a couple weeks ago got hit just putting out safety flares,there needs to be more safe clear policies for us,back ground cecks are great to,it keeps unruley charactors from getting jobs in our industry....... :thumb:  :thumb:  :thumb:  :bowdown:  :bowdown:
Just got some news about background checks involving hazmat,its not going so well its holding up hiring processes for trucking firms,towing companies.they may end up deep 6ing the process.here in new mexico starting next month prints are required,even if you are renewing the hazmat endorcement..... :unclesam:  :unclesam:  :unclesam:

:unclesam: well just got my daily news from ata and the hazmat print program is completely in effect and it will cost us $94.00 to get printed,even if you are renewing or even transffering to another state,and if you are just getting a cdl brand new.more money out of our pockets,it takes full effect may 31st this year.and according ata this also includes tow drivers because of towing hazmat loads(tankers,any load classified as hazmat). :headbang:  :headbang:
