Hello everyone, I am new here. I own another site that is geared toward repo companies. I am coming to you guys for your help with a towing situation involving a 10 year old  tow truck driver being shot and killed. I was told about this 3 weeks ago when I was sent an article done by the family. We at Procra desperately need the help of all repo AND tow companies. We have to pull together on this one.
It seems that Steve Hardin, a 28-year-old tow truck driver was shot and killed in broad daylight at the El Dorado trailer park off Old Humble Road in 1998. Some of you may remember this incident. His killer was convicted of first degree murder in connection with Steve’s death. After a Harris County jury returned a verdict of guilty and a sentence of 10 years probation (and not a day in jail) more than a decade ago, then-judge Ted Poe drew up his own conditions of probation that should have ensured that Crawford would never forget the life he took and the pain he caused.  Crawford has since had an excuse for why he cannot comply with the conditions of his probation. He actually sent a check for $1.46 once saying that was all he could send towards his restitution. He is clearly thumbing his nose at this family including laughing while throwing flowers that he was ordered to place on his graveside several times per year.

I will post a link to the article that was done 3 weeks ago when his family and the victim advocate got together and went to the media in desperation. Please read the article and then go to Procra and sign our petition. Once we have enough signatures we are going to present it to the judicial system in Harris County, Tx and try to get justice for this family.  In the article there are mailing instructions if you choose to write a letter also. Currently I am trying to reach the Judicial Conduct Review Commission at 512-463-5533 in hopes  can get them to show us some justice for this family.
So far, they have not returned my calls. I encourage you guys to call them also.

This tragedy could have happened to any of us while towing or repoing. This could be our family seeking justice. We cannot stand by while this county shows favoritism to the police and firefighters in this murderers family and ignores the rights of a gunned down tow truck driver and his family!
