ITOW Privacy Policy
This statement discloses the privacy practices for
visitors of ITOW's Web site.
Because this web site wants to demonstrate its
commitment to your privacy, it has agreed to disclose its information practices
and have its privacy practices reviewed by all. This web site has agreed to
notify you of:
- What personally identifiable information of yours is
collected
- What organization is collecting the information
- How the information is used
- With whom the information may be shared
- What choices are available to you regarding
collection, use and distribution of the information
- What kind of security procedures are in place to
protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under the company's

1. Information ITOW Collects and tracks
ITOW collects this type of information about users: a)
data that users provide through optional, voluntary participation in chat
sessions with ITOW agents; b) data ITOW collects through aggregated tracking
information derived mainly by tallying page views throughout our site. Such
information is not now, but may be used in the future to help our advertisers
better understand the demographics of our audience. In addition, c) data is
collected through our Contact Us / Feedback page on a form that visitors may
fill out to receive information - however this data is neither collected nor
tracked. ITOW will never divulge information about an individual user to a third
party (except to comply with any applicable laws).
ITOW collects user information in the following
processes:
Chat Sessions
Users of ITOW may, from time to time, engage in a chat
session with an ITOW agent. This chat session may be initiated either by the
user or by the agent who may invite a visitor for a chat. The chat session is a
one-on-one chat between the visitor and a ITOW site operator. Any information
provided voluntarily during such chat session may be collected on the ITOW
database. Such information will only be used to provide better service to
returning visitors and to get a better understanding for the needs of our
audience.
Feedback Forms
In order to provide visitors with the highest level
service, ITOW requires visitors to provide information via a form that assists
to define and clarify their feedback information. When submitting feedback,
users are asked to provide the following identifiable information: name, title,
company, address, phone number, fax number, questions or comments. Of these,
only the name field is mandatory. The remaining fields are not mandatory, we ask
for the information so we can provide more personal customer care. If a visitor
refrains from providing all of this data, he will still get a response to his
questions. E-mails sent to support are kept only for problem solving purposes
and this information is not shared or disclosed to any outside third parties.
ITOW "Job Central" service
A visitor can choose to have their company information
displayed in a listing for the purpose of attracting new employees. Likewise a
person can choose to have their personal information displayed in a listing for
the purpose of attracting a new employer. ITOW does not retain this information,
or use this information for any other purpose.
Usage tracking
ITOW tracks user traffic patterns throughout our site. The
tracking may be done in real-time by ITOW live agents or off-line using site log
files. ITOW breaks down usage statistics according to a user's domain name,
browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string
(information contained in every user's browser). This information is used only
to provide better service to our visitors by offering them assistance during
their stay in our site. We do not correlate this information with data about
individual users.
Cookies
A cookie is a small data file that certain Web sites write
to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information
such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you've visited.
Nevertheless, the only personal information a cookie can contain is information
you supply yourself. A cookie can't read data of your hard disk or read cookie
files created by other sites. ITOW uses cookies to identify repeat visitors to
our site in order to provide them with a better level of service.
Registration
When you visit our site for the first time, ITOW uses a
cookie to store a unique, random user ID. We do not store passwords or any
personal information about you. We use this ID to identify you anonymously in
our database and to track the pages you visited on our site and the chat
sessions you engaged in.
If you've set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will
receive the warning message with each cookie.
You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. You do not need to
have cookies turned on to use the ITOW site.
2. Use of the information
ITOW uses any information voluntarily given by our
users to enhance their experience in the site, whether to better prepare future
content based on the interests of our users, or to provide repeat visitors with
better service based on their previous experience in our site. The information
which is gathered by ITOW
- As stated above, ITOW uses information that users
voluntarily provide during chat sessions (textual text scripts) in order to
enhance the quality of assistance they may get upon returning to our site
and engaging in chat sessions with one of our agents.
- ITOW may in the future create aggregate reports on
user demographics and traffic patterns for advertisers and partners. This
allows our advertisers to advertise more effectively, and allows our users
to receive advertisements that are pertinent to their needs. As ITOW doesn't
track the usage patterns of individual users, an advertiser will not know
that a specific user clicked its ad.
3. Sharing of the information
ITOW may use the above-described information to tailor
our content to better suit your needs and help our advertisers better understand
our audience's demographics. We do not share information about individual users
with any third party, except with a user's express consent. (ITOW will divulge
information as necessary to comply with applicable laws.)
4. Opt-out policy
ITOW gives users options wherever necessary and
practical. Such choices include:
- Opting not to engage in a chat session when
initiated by our agent
- Opting not to provide identifiable information
during any such chat session.
5. Correct/update policy
As stated above there is no registration process for
visitors to our site and therefore no information is required nor needs to be
updated.
6. Delete/deactivate policy
This section does not apply since users do not receive
unsolicited e-mail or newsletters from ITOW.
7. Security
ITOW takes strict measures to protect the loss, misuse,
or alteration of information collected. All employees are required to sign a
confidentiality agreement and in their training programs emphasis is placed on
the matter of customer confidentiality. Access to data is only on a 'need to
know' basis. Data access is secured by a random password that is modified
periodically. We review our web security on an ongoing basis. We do not collect
or keep any sensitive information such as credit card information or social
security numbers via our web site.
If ITOW decides to change its privacy policy, we will
post those changes on this page so you are always aware of what information we
collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
